I was recruited by SmallGroupTrader.com - a subsidiary of Bluefish.tv - during their beta launch (as The Small Group Exchange) to write training articles for church leaders. All three articles that I submitted were published within a 9 month period. I really enjoyed writing for these articles because the audience and topic are both very close to my heart. This is a great organization that has been impacting churches and individuals worldwide for a long time and will continue to do so for years to come.

First Baptist Church - Coppell, TX

Our Missions Pastor (Clay Adkisson) and I started a Bible Study for guys that met on Wednesday morning. Dissatisfied with a lot of the material that is out there, and thinking about saving money, we decided to produce our own curriculum. For the first guide (The Barbarian Way) I drew questions straight out of the book, referencing specific page numbers and quotes, thus encouraging everyone to read. I had spent the entire year studying Colossians, so writing that guide was very exciting. I asked Clay to help craft the introductions and he also provided some of the discussion questions.

I built these fairly primitively within Microsoft Publisher in a way that would allow our outdated copier to produce them in booklet form. I designed the covers, borrowing the graphic for The Barbarian Way from the 2008 re-package designed by Scott Lee Designs. I also compiled a companion booklet containing the complete text of Colossians from 4 different Bible translations.
