While I haven’t had a chance to write about them at length, yet, I’m a huge fan of the Motown legend The Temptations. Two of the group’s former members have passed away in the last 10 days: Damon Harris (Feb 18) and Richard Street (Feb 27). While neither of these two men were among the six Temptations inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, they did leave their own mark on the group. Street (who had been an original member of the group’s first incarnation, “The Distants”) filled in for and eventually replaced the incomparable Paul Williams. Harris took the place of the great lead tenor Eddie Kendricks.
