Sorry for the late edition today. I decided to sleep in this morning. I’m taking the day off from blogging tomorrow in hopes that we can get some good responses to the topic below.

I've been wanting to comment on this since you first posted it, just now getting around to it. I sent your video on to my LifeGroup. And I whole heartedly agree that life group is not just getting together one day a week regarding a bible study, that's sunday school.

Life group is living life together as you go through out the week. I've had guys from my group call me, IM me, post on my facebook, email, and text me checking in with me to see how I'm doing. We've had breakfasts, lunches and times together with our families.

We've support fellow members in prayer and monetarily on Mission trips to Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras and soon to be India. We are currently looking for ways to support local missions.

We've gotten together to play disc golf, watch Cowboys games, and bowling, we bonded deeply at the last men's retreat. We've rallied around those that are struggling in their marriages, in their jobs, with their kids.

My lifegroup was there for me during that hardest time in my life when we lost Jordan. They've also held me accountable for those things in my life I struggle with. And I return the gestures as well through the same mediums and accountability.

And through all this we've studied books on "Being the head of the household" and "purity", and the following books of the Bible: James, Daniel, Revelation, and Job. We are about to embark on a journey into Apologetics and why we believe what we believe.

This is the essence of our Life Group. Living life together through out your days, weeks, months, and years.

    Troy,
I'm very encouraged by this. What group are you part of? I think that when
we build things around a certain "model" of ministry there are always risks
and, unfortunately, it seems that few are able to live up to the model.
(Please know that this is not a knock against our methods, the same is true
    of any Bible study model.)
So, I'm very glad for you and hope to hear more stories of groups that are
    functioning the same way.
